Rode in heavy rain and got moisture inside the display. I will talk to the workshop on Monday. This should not happen. Anyone else has this?

Sad to hear about it. I haven't ridden in the rain yet and nobody in the German-speaking community I know has reported this problem either. Hope that this isn´t a general problem. I would be glad if you told here the outcome of the garage work. I go to Sweden and Norway in 10 days and of course I will come into rain there. Would be good to know if the problem is easily to solve. Wish you all the best!

Thank you for the reply! I live in Sweden so welcome to the north :169: I will call them tomorrow. I suspect they will order a new display and I will have to ride with the old a while before it gets changed. But I will report both what they say tomorrow and the outcome of a repair

This is actually my first factory fault on any motorcycle I have bought. The display still works so I can ride at least. But very annoying.

Very annoying! I mean it´s a Honda and it´s said to be that you can buy them almost blind... It´s my/our 5th Honda and so far we haven't had any workshop visits other than for maintenance and inspection. Hope this is not a new chapter of Honda.... Wish you a fast solution

... did you get any answers from your garage?

P.S. Where in Sweden are you situated? We arrive in Trelleborg at July 13in the early morning and we´ll drive some nice routes the day and spend a night in a Cabin of Lökkholmens Camping near Strömstad. On July 14th we leave Sweden already in the direction of Sandefjord by ferry.

I called them and they wanted to send some pictures to Honda in Sweden. I have not heard anything since. Buy they said it can take a couple of days. They said it should not be that way at least.

I live just above lake Vänern (biggest one) in Kristinehamn.  :002:

.... quite interesting. Thought they would change the Display immediately - ´cause obviously it was not your fault. Okay so they made a picture and are waiting now...

More than 20 years ago (I think in 1999) we were in the area on our way back from the northcape. We took a bath in the Vättern (okay it´s some kilometers from you) while parking on the E4. Climbed down to the lake an took our clothes off and went swimming naked  :164:. We were young and it was hot  :034:. Very nice region to live.

Yeah I thought they would too. I suppose Honda needs to approve or something. Is my guess.

Vättern is notorious for being very cold so well done swimming in that lake. Yeah it's nice here but a bit far from big cities. But I like nature so it doesn't matter. If you decide to pop by this way I would be happy to serve coffe, ice cream and talk motorcycles.  :001:

I like it far away from the cities. So it sounds very good.

This year we will not be able to take a short break in Kristinehamn. We need all the day to get from Trelleborg to Lökholmen, want to spend some nice hours in the evening there and need to catch our ferry the next day. But I keep it in mind. Next year my wife and my younger son will have a motorcycle license too and we want to go to the north again. Maybe our tour goes thru  Kristinehamn?  :164:

    Any news from your display?
