I am still waiting for the bike....not too long I hope.
Coming from a tubeless CB500X I thought a lot about the conversion, and I've seen that many AF have been converted to tubeless. Let's say for the time being I'll keep the tubes, and I bought myself the kit to be able to repair/swap a pinched tube. However, on the long run I think I'll go tubeless. How I still don't know. Conversion can be done surely for the rear wheel, but the front wheel as far as I know cannot be converted because it does not have the "hump" to keep the tubeless tyre in place in worst case. This means changing the fron rim and converting the rear....not a cheap option, but feasible in the long term and it seems the right solution for my kind of riding with the TA. Touring with some easy offroad on the way. I've no intention to become a Paul Tarres or similar.

    Cheers, V.

I think I will have to use a recovery service if I get  a puncture in the short term but will convert the rear asap.  the front is less likely to get a puncture on the front especially if not riding off road.  I dont really want carry spare tubes.  Im getting a bit old for fixing tubed trires,  tubeless is quick and easy not much effort.

bonjour , ca fait parti des modification qui vont arriver , une réparation d'un tubeless se faisant très facilement et ne faisant pas de off road engagé ( donc pas beaucoup de baisse de pression des pneus)

I definitely plan to go tubless ...after I get the bike of course. Looking forward to hearing what others do.

Dec 2023 update, rear wheel converted to tubeless, no issues (the rim does have a retaining bead), now thinking of converting the front too, but this has no tubeless retaining bead, not sure if this is an issue?   cannot be any worse than a tubed tyre suddenly deflating, any views?

    Item used 3m 5200 sealent  & 3M Extreme Sealing Tape 4411N  50mm wide, 1mm thick

Quite few youtube video on converting AT's
    Use 3M 5200 marine sealant, with a 50mm  3M Extreme Sealing Tape 4411N
Make sure everything is very clean, use an alcohol based cleaner like "panel wipe"
Check all spokes are tight and the wheel is true.
Helps is you have a wheel balanceing stand of some sort, or improvised

Thanks for the clarification. I see that the tape you are using is guaranteed to a maximum temperature of 38 ℃ or 100 ℉.
Aren't you concerned that this might be a limit for the sealant?

    Cheers, V.

fair point, but these sealants have a well in tolerance spec, it a common conversion on AT's and I know 2 other people that have down tubeless conversions over a year ago and both report that the air loss is then then when they had tubed wheels.
